Park in the Afternoon

Here are the images I made with my Canon EOS 1000 with a vintage lens, Pentax SMC Takumar 1.4/50, on Ilford PAN 400 in Tainan City Park on a sunny afternoon around 2 o'clock, when the shadows were more definite

Most of the images were taken with the aperture set wide open at 1.4, except for some that required smaller aperture to avoid overexposure, since my old Canon EOS 1000's maximum shutter speed is 1/1000 sec.

The graininess of the bokeh areas are just perfect, at least for me. I have always loved Takumar's bokeh but surely I was not expecting this in these images - moderately grainy yet with clear enough details.

The images were shot and developed at box speed, no push or pull. Only one thing, the lab guy told me that he slightly miscalculated the temperature, which resulted in the over-darkened shadows and hence some minor loss of details there.
